You've known or heard of people who have taken their hobby and made something more of it. Harmony House Coffee was realized in just such a fashion. After experiencing the richness of fresh roasted coffees and how these different coffees each had a character of their own, it was our desire to make these coffees available in Rhea County Tennessee. To accomplish this we did a great deal of research and study under professional coffee people. And then in October 2004 in a little shop north of the Dayton city limits, Harmony House Coffee opened. Quickly we realized the difficulties of selling what is known as "Specialty Coffees" in an area not yet immersed in these flavors and tastes. We also realized that a more accessible location was needed.
Then in April 2006 we opened the doors at the Maley Hollow Rd location off Hwy 27. Our two year stay there was a great learning experience, but issues such as a rugged economy forced us to look around again. Fortunately, a better location became available and we moved again- downtown Dayton. The new spot definitely provided more of a coffeehouse feel and has become a warm place where people gather to enjoy some of the best stuff of life - flavorful drinks and fellowship with other people.
The name of our business, Harmony House Coffee, is derived from our beliefs about the "best stuff of life." We believe that living life together is not an accident, but is the result of a purposeful, creator God. To enjoy the world, people and God too, we must be purposeful in creating opportunities. In that light we are happy to offer our place as one in which to build relationships. And regardless of your core beliefs, we hope that you may find our place and products both satisfying and rewarding.
